    Some type of interference causing the electronic components in the belt to fail, thereby loosening the belt to its default state and my pants falling down in public And yes I am also commenting on something I didn't read. I see "smart" being used to describe a product and automatically assume it has electronic/internet capabilities.

      The belt doesn't have an electronic or electric device built into it that you have to pay subscription to or that causes any interference. Its smart in the way it operates and adjusts compared to a 5 pin hole regular belts. moreover this is handmade with durable leather that will last much longer than regular belts.
