I just can't wrap my head around this. How can you both concede the behavior and be perfectly fine with and defend it?

- d23 3y agoIs that seriously your beef, that I said pedophiles instead of pedophile? You are completely avoiding the substance of the point.
- Larrikin 3y agoLook at his post history and stop wasting your time.
- nailer 3y agoYes. The fact you don’t think its a big deal to be caught saying something false says a lot.
- d23 3y agoI'm going to go out on a limb here with the way you've consistently dodged whether you think this is acceptable behavior and say that even if I brought up another example, Yoel Roth, you still would have a way of doing gymnastics around it.
- nailer 3y agoI’ve stuck to the point about you lying rather than bothering with your multiple attempts to change the topic. Try again? Maybe it’ll work.
- dang 3y agoCould you please stop posting unsubstantive comments and flamebait? You've unfortunately been doing it repeatedly. It's not what this site is for, and destroys what it is for, we've warned you many times before, and if you keep doing it we're going to have to ban you. If you'd please review https://news.ycombinator.com/newsguidelines.html https://news.ycombinator.com/newsguidelines.html and stick to the rules when posting here, we'd appreciate it.
- nailer 3y agoDan it’s not flamebait. The person tried to falsely paint a single example of behaviour as a common thing. Unfortunately a lot of people seem to really hate Elon Musk, so “you’re right he only did this once but it was poor behaviour” turns into flagging anyone that points this out and then bringing up unrelated matters as an instance of whataboutism. We’ve had three or four discussions over the last 16 years, one I’m fairly sure you’d now think you were in the wrong, so I’m not sure why you would say this is common.
- dang 3y agoAsking someone "Do you understand plurals?" is an insulting way of calling them dumb. Personal insults are certainly flamebait and definitely not allowed here.
- nailer 3y agoOK fair enough. I did genuinely wonder how the parent did not understand that writing something happened multiple times when it happened once was untrue, but I should have used better language here.
