Yes, ChatGPT isn't a great developer. This has been known for a while now. it can churn out decent code within well-specified parameters, but is unable to help out with the actual developer aspects of the role (debugging, critical thinking, requirement gathering, complaining about chatGPT, browsing HN, code-reviews, etc) I don't know why this keeps getting blogged about / brought up.
