No. In every testing or selection system there will be people who could have made it, but didn't make the cut. Either we can accept some amount of arbitrariness, and that there are plenty of opportunities (try again next year?), or everyone who didn't make it can decide to cheat (they're probably good enough right?) Which of these responses makes sense to you?
