Jury nullification doesn’t exactly have a spotless history. Although I do agree with the sentiment.
- _heimdall 3y agoThe legal system itself doesn't have a spotless history. I just don't see the point in a hurry trial if we aren't asking representatives of the community to weigh in on the law and punishment itself. If all we want is a system where legal statues are presented and evidence is compared against it, we really don't need a jury at all and might as well let the judge or OpenAI decide on what if basically boiled down to a mathematical equation.
