Apple really doesn't care. A much older example than ChatGPT copycats are apps that blatantly rip off the Spaced Repetition Software Anki. The official version of Anki for iOS is called AnkiMobile. [1] But if you search for "Anki" on the App Store you are plastered with Apps called "Anki Pro", "Anki App" etc. It's really quite infuriating, especially for smaller developers who unlike OpenAI don't have the resources to fight against this.
