“EV sales” includes plug in hybrids. I’m a big proponent of plug in hybrids as a good transition vehicle for those not willing / able to to full EV, but they should be reported separately.
- tshaddox 3y agoAccording to the data source, about 20% of the “EV sales” are PHEVs: > A total of 100,605 plug-in vehicles (81,346 BEVs and 19,259 PHEVs) were sold during March 2023 in the United States https://www.canarymedia.com/articles/electric-vehicles/chart-ev-sales-on-pace-to-break-1-million-in-us-this-year https://www.canarymedia.com/articles/electric-vehicles/chart... That’s actually higher than I expected. The availability of PHEVs in the US has always seemed pretty terrible to me.
