Ask HN: What is the most corporate programming language?
That is to say, which language do most large enterprises use primarily and regularly hire people for.
My hunch says Java with the experience I've had job searching but I can't help but feel (or hope) Python is becoming more prevalent.
- sharemywin 3y agoI would think javascript/html/css are pretty big. at least as a secondary type thing.
- DaOne256 3y agoI would also say Java, followed by C#
- daviddever23box 3y agoWhat do you mean by "corporate"? In the past, I'd have wagered C#, Java second, though I'd consider JavaScript / TypeScript to be quite more frequently utilized. Go / Rust / C++ are always good choices.
- armajid 3y agoCorporate meaning big businesses; not startups or SMEs.
