ChromeOS is only in the market because they have cheap laptops that schools bought up. And not a single student I know would ever use one outside of school.

- gehwartzen 3y agoWhich is kind of depressing. I get public schools have budgetary needs and I suppose Chromebooks are perfectly appropriate for Elementary and (maybe) Middle Schoolers (my kid has one, he's in 2nd grade and its fine) but they should really consider supplying real laptops to the High Schoolers so they learn on hardware and software used in the real world.

- Zigurd 3y agoAlso "worst gaming device" is a feature, not a bug in that market.
