Opposite for me-- music causes daydreaming and other issues.
I'm much better off with ear plugs and silence. No more looking for music to listen to, watching random videos or day dreaming.
- warrenm 3y agothat's awesome .. you do you :) I've always been 'more productive' when I can have something semi-[un]interesting going in the background :) I do know several people who can not focus unless it's 'silent', though ...but silence (or quasi silence) lets my mind run, and that [almost always] distracts me from what I'm trying to get done :)
- ethicalsmacker 3y agoMusic with no vocals (classical, chiptune, etc) can work pretty well as long as you don't go down the rabbit hole of "finding music to listen to" every 15 minutes.
