Assuming such an organization existed, what would stop someone from using their name, logo, etc. to also promote enhancing IP law and undermine they’re entire message? Presumably they wouldn’t be so hypocritical as to sue you for that, would they?
- sicariusnoctis 3y agoIf IP stops being a thing, we can always invent new laws to replace it such as "impersonation".
- narwally 3y agoTrademark and copywright aren't quite the samee things. We can get rid of copywright while still allowing trademarks.
- account42 3y agoEven besides you mixing up trademarks and copyrights, subverting the existing system in order to achive the opposite is not inherently hypocritical. E.g., the GPL is a copyright license.
