Being asked to pay money for "journalism" is insulting when you consider that readers are the product. Most of the money is made from sponsored content masquerading as unbiased news articles and advertisements.
- qikInNdOutReply 3y agoTry to see the regular payment, as a sort of inverted slice of ransom. Which the public can withdraw en mass, the moment they feel betrayed. Creating a kind of attachement of the employee to the employer (You).
