I wonder if this is the etymology of the lovely speakeasy "Bourbon and Branch" in SF?

- cafard 4y agoYes, the expression--not the Bond novels, for the expression has been around a lot longer. I believe that Sam Rayburn's branch water came out of a Washington, DC, tap.
- microtherion 4y agoYes it is. I was reminded of this as well when I read the title of the submission.
