    Is that acceptable then because it's "happening everywhere" in your estimation? That should raise even greater alarm bells for you then. Perhaps it's both absolute and relative. Either way, as a nation, I'm quite sure we've jumped off at the deep end compared to where we were. And that's not just a feeling. Take one look at the idiots in charge, peel one layer back, and you'll see for yourself.
