Can confirm that. I asked ChatGPT for information about a book my son was reading at school. While the answer sounded really good at first sight, the content was absolutely nonsense. Not a single statement from ChatGPT was correct. Therefore, I can confirm - it’s bullshit.

They seem to be reeling it in, I've seen it say more often that it doesn't know or that it isn't reliable for a particular query. Tbh I wish It would just have a go anyway.

  Not sure if it still works, but for a while you could force an output by using a prompt like: If your life depended on it, how would you answer: "prompt here".
