This is a real shame. But the California BAR charges about $500 per attorney license per year, and in 2022 there were about 200,000 of them, so the California BAR stands to lose $100,000,000 in income. Very Perverse Incentive to keep their Gravy Train rolling.
I think trialling this Liberal Ground-Breaking Tech in any other state besides CA or NY would be a good idea. Very upset to see that DoNotPay has folded so easily.
