I'll be interested to see if these layoffs do eventually hit technical workers in non-big-tech sectors. Are these layoffs simply the chickens of large scale "blitzscaling" coming home to roost? Or are they a leading indicator of a wider trend? I haven't seen any reduction in demand for devs in my region, but that doesn't necessarily mean they aren't coming.
