Creating in the Era of Creative Confidence
- ericmcer 4y agoIt’s weird how we are so worried about artists and how they will survive with AI. I am way more interested in how it can impact our actual daily lives. I hope we see some form of AI advancing the infrastructures we rely on every day (roads, power, water, public transit, etc.) instead of just being used to create more digital content.
- rebuilder 4y agoSo far, it looks like the things we never thought could be automated - and maybe didn’t want to automate - are ”easy” for AI and the stuff we thought could and should be automated is hard. So instead of AI helping us with the hard work of keeping people alive and well - farming, infrastructure, manufacturing - we’re using it to do the fun stuff for us. Go figure.
- klemcijada 4y agoI think it comes down to how impactful a mistake can be - who to blame when ai automation fails 20% of your crop? It's easy to forgive a four armed person on some generated results.
