I know this one, the last letter is the non printing character '\0'. I just spent December crash coursing my way through C.
- coffeeblack 4y agoThat’s actually a good hypothesis. But apparently the count is sometimes off by more than one. My take: poor ChatGPT has no fingers, so counting is hard!
