Shameless plug: So if you want to sync in the cloud (Dropbox <-> GoogleDocs) try https://cloudhq.net https://cloudhq.net (Dropbox does excellent sync with your PC and then cloudHQ ensure that GDoc is sync'd with Dropbox).
