Conservative judges froze passage of measures meant to overhaul appointments to their court
- snvzz 4y agoMaybe they should use the right procedures the next time they try. They were rightfully blocked this time around because they tried to bypass debate by tacking it into an entirely unrelated bill. And don't get me wrong, I am all for replacing the strongly politicized members of this court. This was just the wrong way to go about doing it.

The opposition could have submitted their amendment proposal. they refused and went to court. The right wing party has vetoed renovation for 3 years. Thereby extending the judges way beyond their initial term limits. - snvzz 4y agoMaybe if they hadn't tried to tackle it into an entirely unrelated bill, that right wing party (which yes, is corrupt and trashy) wouldn't have had grounds to complain, and it would not have been rightfully blocked. This is why following the right procedures is important. And this is also why the quality of Spanish democracy is viewed as seriously low.
