Is this fact? Last I read about this the law was passed, but it's still unclear if apple will actually allow this.
I absolutely would love if I could use the latest version of iOS and install apps that are not in the app store. I'm currently using trollstore to do this but that means using older versions of iOS that are vulnerable to exploits.
- jdiez17 4y agoSo far Apple doesn't seem to be interested in breaking the law.
- brewdad 4y agoI guess it depends on what the punishment is. If it's only a fine, Apple might happily pay it to retain full control of the app repository.
- bgidley 4y agoThe law has passed - but it also has exemptions for security.... So we can expect a lot of negotiating between the EU & Apple/Google on what they actually have to do.
