Why not just grand-father in all current state driver's licenses and let the migration happen naturally as people renew?
- suprfsat 4y agoIf your grandfather had the right to vote without complicated ID requirements, then you do too.
- twelve40 4y agocould never get that. why get all 200mil adults drag their ass to the dmv with stupid-ass falsifiable bills as "proof" (of what? that i exist?) and make TONs of busywork for the whole country when you could just renew automatically into "real"... pure idiocy
- kylehotchkiss 4y ago“Proof of address” is what they’re looking for. There isn’t any other way of getting that across the country because there wasn't consistency between states on verification. I don’t why other than maybe making sure the feds have workable address databases to help with investigations
