My Galaxy Watch (original) has one, and they'd be total fools to remove it in a later model. I think the only time I touch the watch face is to dismiss notifications with a gesture. The dial is super nice, and I actually default to spinning it to wake the face instead of hitting a button. The dial is my favorite thing about the watch.
