Is limited supply reason enough to explain the high market prices or has there also been an increase in demand?

- bb88 4y agoUnfortunately as long as there's a perceived shortage scalpers will be competing amongst everyone else who have no intent on reselling.
- RussianCow 4y agoBut who's willing to buy Raspberry Pis for $115 when there are so many alternatives on the market that are drastically cheaper?
- rdtwo 4y agoIs there some unobtainable chip on the board that other manufacturers need and are buying up?

- 8bitsrule 4y agoThe many alternatives do not, of course, have the huge community that's built up around the Pis. Hundreds (thousands?) of projects for example.
- RussianCow 4y agoI understand, but part of the draw of Raspberry Pis is the price. When that price goes up by 20x, I can't imagine very many scenarios where that would still be worth it, regardless of the size of the community.
