Have you see some great innovation on EV motor in the washing machines?
Same for the automotive.
- mrtksn 4y agoCare to expand on that?
- 1-6 4y agoYou can probably make a washing machine spin so fast that it'll pretty much dry the clothes out of the washer. Spinning a drum that fast would probably be a good lawsuit if anyone gets hurt though.
- Gordonjcp 4y agoCongratulations, you've just invented the spin dryer. https://www.montpellier-appliances.com/product-details/montpellier-msd2800w-3kg-spin-dryer/ https://www.montpellier-appliances.com/product-details/montp... You'd be amazed how much more water you can get out of things like towels with one of those. Chuck something light like a fleece or acrylic jumper in and it comes out dry enough to wear.
- mprovost 4y agoThey often have those in locker rooms at swimming pools to dry off your swimsuit quickly.
- germinalphrase 4y agoWhat’s the disadvantage here? Capacity?
- toss1 4y agoI'd venture that the main problem is that it requires care to run, you can't just toss stuff in, and you really can't have foolish teenagers deliberately putting a load all on one side to 'see what happens'. The load would need to be balanced unless it had impractically massive shielding or some kind of auto-balancing system. Without those, the centrifuge would create a big hazard to itself and anyone nearby. That said, I want one!
- Gordonjcp 4y agoWith some care you can sprag the lid switch so they run with the lid open, and then toss things in when it's going at the 20,000RPM or whatever speed they get up to. If you can get the insides really clean, you can juice about 60 oranges at once.
