Working on projects that were meaningful to me personally. After a certain amount of time (years), I could troubleshoot any bug. No need to reach out to others to solve bugs. I will always find a way. Using GNU/Linux as daily driver. Helps with dev-ops enormously. Lastly linked to the above, learning the full-stack. Am I a success.... na. But I consider myself a success in terms of being self-taught.
