Digg has entered the chat.
- ryzvonusef 4y agosomehow I skipped Digg altogether. Like I knew the site existed, but simply didn't enter my sphere of browsing.
- o_m 4y agoThe point combyn8tor is trying to make is that there was an exodus from Digg to Reddit and it happened rapidly. Digg didn't fade away as others did.
- ryzvonusef 4y agoI know, but as some one who was a spectator to the drift, I feel it was an outlier. There are always people threatening to move, but rarely does it happen (remember Voat?) Digg is an outlier IMHO.
- probably_wrong 4y agoYou know what's funny about Digg? They made a stupid decision, lost all of their users to Reddit, and essentially shut down. But! About one or two years ago they relaunched and started publishing mildly interesting stuff that I typically wouldn't see anywhere else. I'm guessing this got them users, because in the last months they changed most of their titles to clickbait, the quality of the articles went down, and they added comments where I've never seen anything but spam. I don't know who cursed Digg or why, but they clearly did a thorough job.
- donmcronald 4y ago> Digg has entered the chat. Where the “vocal minority” turned out to be everyone. Lol.
