Can we change the title to something like “PHP is good despite the nay-says”? The title as it is is writing cheques that the article can’t cash.

- aliqot 4y agoUsing the title of the post is generally the correct way, with few exceptions.
- captainthrow 4y agoIt’s low effort flamebait.
- pc86 4y agoAnd has been flagged as such, but editorializing titles leads to much worse things.

- larve 4y agoI’d honestly be curious to know why you think this is flamebait. Who am I flaming here?

- dang 4y agoThe title is just provocative pejoratives. That's definitely flamebait by HN standards.
- larve 4y agoThanks! Is it okay if I resubmit it under a different title?
- dang 4y agoSure. It's kind of a sensational article, though, without much information in it, so I'm not sure it's a great fit for HN. It's possible that users will continue to flag it for that reason.
- larve 4y agoFair put, I’ll sleep on it. Also, hopefully you won’t consider this kissing your boots, but I genuinely appreciate what must be the tremendous amount of effort you put into this site. I have gained so much from this site, and the ruthless commitment to quality submissions is a big part of it.
