thanks for the advice. to add some context, i have been voicing concerns and i just feel that i may be in a position where i have to take the silence and work it out for myself - i must remember all the resources i have available to me (including you kind folk here at HN) and work with what i have been given. i have gotten myself this far, and only i can make it better for myself. time to nut up or shut up i suppose and stand up for myself.

Get your resume ready and figure out a way to make this into an amusing story for your next interview. >Yeah, so my direct supervisor left for a vacation the day before a major update and left me to do it with 12 hours notice.
