MV3 doesn't stop anyone blocking ads. i've been running exclusively on Safari for years now. zero ads.

  It will when mainstream browsers adopt Manifest v3 and ads get smarter.

  I'm not saying you're wrong, but I'm always surprised when people say they never get ads on Safari. Its one of my major annoyances, that sometimes I do get ads on my iPhone, even with Ad-blockers.

    I've almost forgot what having ads in my browser was like using AdGuard for Safari on my MacBook but it seems to miss a lot on my iPhone.

Yeah, almost everyone will just keep using the reduced-feature ad-blockers that result from MV3.

  well currently it blocks youtube ads, if that changes many, many will be moving.

  I think you are underestimating how annoying ads are. I was in a german forum today on my mobile phone and the ads jumped into view for a second and then jumped back out again while I was scrolling. I can't imagine that anyone puts up with this for long. I thought that most people would stay with inferior adblockers but it only takes a couple of such extremely annoying ads to make it through for you to start googling for an improvement.

Look at how popular streaming services are, even though they're constantly removing content. I see people complain about it all the time, but they keep signing up for more services.
