- someweirdperson 4y agoInventions like mp3 probably helped to reduce the pressure to upgrade.
- uni_rule 4y agoI think it would have more to do with Fiber to the Node allowing ISPs to only half-upgrade their infrastructure and still achieve workable broadband, even if having the foresight to do straight fiber would have been a much better goal to work towards at the time.
