  > somehow this really discouraged me from looking deeper into it. I was also discouraged by that remark. But I've never had (or even used) Alexa or Siri or whatever; they're a cool idea, but I'm not prepared to rely on either of those sevice providers. So I'm interested.

  It seems to be written by a young guy, English is his second language, and he's excited to be learning different technologies along the way.
