Ask HN: What are the best tools to detect website changes?
I would like to get notified when certain websites change.
I used visualping so far, but many websites have way too many moving elements. Comparing screenshots to detect changes caused too many false alerts. What other tools I should try?
- gregsadetsky 4y agoI use ChangeTower in addition to Visualping.
- iamandras 4y agoInteresting. ChangeTower seems more powerful. Thanks for the suggestion.

- iamandras 4y agoThanks. I'll check it out.
- sergesalager 4y agoHave you tried Visualping's action tools? There is one called "blocker" that prevents dynamic elements from loading. You can use this to prevent false alerts coming from them. Here is a nice YouTube tutorial: https://youtu.be/cQEMypuoX0E https://youtu.be/cQEMypuoX0E Also check the resource center for more details: https://help.visualping.io/en/articles/5948932-how-do-i-use-action-tools#h_2ff46ee6da https://help.visualping.io/en/articles/5948932-how-do-i-use-.... Hope this helps!
