- KindOne 4y agoSome websites I have signed up require a real phone number so they send a verification code on account creation.
- innocentoldguy 4y agoI use Google Voice for that. I don’t have it tied to my phone, so the only thing they can do is send me text messages that I only see when I’m expecting something.
- yandie 4y agoA lot of website now bans GV numbers unfortunately (or any VoIP numbers)
- copperx 4y agoI hang up on people all the time. I don't want to spend minutes of my life answering probing questions. Just hang up as they speak.
- innocentoldguy 4y agoI never answer numbers I don’t recognize, but it is still annoying to get these types of calls, again and again, and again.
