If you are worried about this, you can revoke the Instagram camera permission from Settings, and only turn it on when you actually want to use it.
Settings -> Instagram -> "Allow Instagram to access" -> Camera
The app will still work, it will just prompt you for the permission when going into the camera view.
- voakbasda 4y agoThis was my immediate suggestion to her, and she is happy with this solution. We still want to know why this step was necessary. After all, this disables a useful feature for the sake of preventing… what exactly?
