Why not use the rigs for SETI, Folding@Home or something similar? I mean sure - not flaring waste gas is a net win (in a weird sort of way) but what happens to any profits made from this? Are they donated to charity or other green projects? Doesn't seem so otherwise they would be trumpeting it aka Green-Washing.
