The advice my adult children remember most from me, especially when visiting rarely-seen family, is "Don't try to be funny, try to be nice."
- AstralStorm 4y agoFunny, nice people don't stand out either. Lucky, connected, affable ones do stand out. They don't even have to be anything else, most of the time. They don't get there by being nice or funny all the time, but by practice and reading the audience.
