- tgflynn 4y agoIt might depend on your definition of "system". WW II battleships had electro-mechanical computers for fire control.
- zgs 4y agoLift controllers date from the 1920's. I'd consider them embedded systems.
- pfdietz 4y agoWhere does the "1960" come from? Wikipedia lists August 1966 as when the AGC was introduced. AGC was preceded by many other digital guidance computers, including those for the Minuteman I, the Minuteman II, and Gemini.
