One thing I've noticed: US-based commenters are much more negative and cynical than anyone else. I've made posts (under a previous username) when the US folks were asleep and got great, helpful replies, only to get much more negative, less nuanced comments once the US woke up.
- AtlasBarfed 4y agoDidn't you read the article and guidance? This will only attract downvotes. You've stated a political opinion which on HN is any opinion contrary to HN's libertarian US techno-capitalism with bare minimum virtue signalling. I'll upvote you for limited counterbalancing.
