The first time I ever saw any number of skateboarders was in Barcelona and I COULD NOT BELIEVE how loud a bunch skateboards rolling through the street was. Even in the middle of the day it was deafening with closed windows. Every single person on the street turned to see WTF was happening. They immensely enjoyed doing it and the attention, and made sure they migrated in groups of 20+. The apartment was nearby the local art gallery where apparently they hang out and it was beyond awful. Absolutely shocking, obnoxious behaviour and I'm so glad skateboards aren't a thing in my country.
