- a_paddy 4y agoAssociation Football a.k.a. soccer, is governed by two separate organisations, however many sports likes gaelic football, hurling, camogie, rugby, cricket, hockey etc are governed on an all island basis, as their governing bodies predate the partition of Ireland.
