- bajsejohannes 4y agoInteresting. I wondered if it was related to the Norwegian/Danish "skive" [1], which means to cut or a cut of something. [1] which could even be inflected like "skiving", though realistically it might not ever have edit: of course, it might be that "skive" and "esquiver" are related...
