- petercooper 4y agoI appreciate this might be bigging it a little, but I think writing like this can be both: gonzo journalism. It feels like a smaller scale take on the idea, a la Hunter S Thompson's reportage on the Kentucky Derby.
- mimikatz 4y agoIt doesn't at all. As I read it I thought this article was the anthesis of Fear and Loathing (before reading your comment). Fear and Loathing being about fully embracing and being in the event (or the meta of the event). This reporting sounds like an aloof person throwing stones from outside.
- phillipcarter 4y agoI think it's weird when techies think they know what's "good" or "bad" journalism. Writing code doesn't give you superpowers. Have you considered that maybe there's all kinds of journalism out there, and this is but one flavor of it?
- asdffdsa 4y agoI'm open to discussion; what kind of journalism do you think it is, and why is it "good" or "bad"? It reads more like tabloid journalism rather than investigative/business/political, and her post history seems to confirm that.
