Any field that requires intelligence is safe, as intelligence requires self awareness

  Garry Kasparov said he was the first knowledge worker who lost his job to AI. At the time, we defined chess as a sign of intelligence, practically an IQ test. But now, it's seen more as a series of patterns. I think we'll keep redefining intelligence to something that makes us feel special.

    Similarly, people making a living in "AI" will keep redefining AI to whatever is the capability or around the corner of current "SOTA" systems (which is never quite AI or autonomous driving). Hence the invention of terms such as _full_ autonomous driving and artificial _general_ intelligence.

    Yes, but Garry Kasparov's conclusion is NOT that - he says that AI is best used as a collaborative tool, lead by humans. This is pretty much exactly what I see here. The human must still come up with the idea that an astronaut riding a horse is a good idea, and must selectively adjust the output until his/her vision is realized, the AI takes care of the majority of the individual brushstrokes/digital operations, and there's still likely some significant human-level work at the end. But yes, artists with skills but little vision, or stuck in jobs where the vision is not theirs, such as making advertisement illustrations, will likely be largely replaced.
