Kudos to you in sharing your story, and congrats on your 4-month "sobriety"! My youngest son actually had to go to a detox program for video games (in the Seattle area). It didn't entirely remove the addictive behavior patterns, but he's much more self-aware in his struggles. One positive thing did come out during his stay there - he was officially diagnosed with ASD (which we always suspected, but he had other learning challenges that seemed more pressing). I wish we had gotten him more accomodations when he was in school - which would have been easier with the official diagnoses.
