My ID is one of the last reasons I need to carry a wallet around with me. It would be so freeing to just use a smart device to access identity restricted services (TSA, Liquor store, etc). Can’t wait for this to hit my state.
I don’t love the idea that my data is shared in a central DB, but honestly it’s way better than using a wallet which is much easier to lose or misplace!
- spacexsucks 4y agoNow your phone is the single poi t of failure. Smh.
- Spivak 4y agoA single point of failure for what? If you lose your physical ID you don’t have a failover; same with your credit cards. Having copies of your cards in your phone actually makes the whole system not a single point of failure.
- spacexsucks 4y agoI see that once there is the digital "more convenient" way, the paper way will go away and the fight for it will be hard. Also, ifyou are out with only a phone and no battery, there is also no failover.
