- Gunax 4y agoI find it difficult to believe that operating a major newspaper is as expensive as licensing a film catalog. Admittedly I have no specialty on either and could be completely wrong. I also know many papers are local, where as films tend to have a broad audience. I think there has to be a better way. News is definitely ripe for innovation just like Apple and Spotify did to music. I end up finding articles from the whatever paper is local to Lincoln NB and I think they deserve to get paid. But sorry: I am not subscribing to the Lincoln Herald or Brisbane Times or whatever local paper just because I happened to end up on one of your articles from 4 years ago through a search. There has to be a better way.
