This was my experience too, and at the time I had been using Sublime Text for years, so Atom was shockingly slow in comparison. Somehow VSCode does not suffer

This was my experience too, and at the time I had been using Sublime Text for years, so Atom was shockingly slow in comparison. Somehow VSCode does not suffer from most of the performance issues I had with Atom.
