Argentinian here. I agree with almost everything in this article. Except for > high-inflation Argentina has almost no mortgage industry. Real state is 100% dollarized since the late 70s [1]. It is not just about inflation because you can have adjusted interest rates [2]. We don't have mortgages because of the government currency exchange restrictions, and also our salaries didn't adjust as much as the inflation rates.
